In October 2022, Joaquín Cortés chose a cause to mark his return to the stage: the sixteenth gala of the Fundacion Isabel Gemio, dedicated to research into rare diseases.
It was his first performance after a break shaped by the pandemic and an injury. And he did not return with nostalgia but with plans: there and then he announced a full-scale comeback with an international production for 2023, designed for the large venues his audience demands.
