Rome Honours Him: Special Award from the Italian Red Cross at Its 160th Anniversary
The Croce Rossa Italiana charity gala, dedicated to combating gender-based violence, recognises him alongside Franco Nero and Rupert Everett.
On 6 November 2024, the Croce Rossa Italiana celebrated its 160th anniversary with a charity gala at the Complesso Monumentale di Santo Spirito in Sassia, in Rome, dedicated to the fight against gender-based violence.
Among those honoured with its premio speciale, Joaquín Cortés shared recognition with figures including Franco Nero, Lina Sastri and Rupert Everett.
Italy, the country that adopted him as its own from the 1990s, called on him again for a greater cause. And he, as always with Italy, answered the call.
