Premio Latino de Oro for Best Dancer and Choreographer in Marbella
The Fundacion Gala Accion Social honours him at the Palacio de Congresos de Marbella and names him an honorary member.
On 15 September 2018, the gala held at the Palacio de Congresos de Marbella awarded Joaquín Cortés the Premio Latino de Oro for Best Dancer and Choreographer, granted by the Fundacion Gala Accion Social.
Professional commitments keeping him in the United States prevented him from collecting the award in person; the organisation also named him an honorary member of the foundation.
A recognition with an Andalusian flavour for a universal Cordovan, in the year America was calling on him daily on its television screens.
